Felch, Michigan Muriel M. Isaacson age 90, of Felch, Michigan passed away Saturday July 16, 2005 at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wisconsin.
Muriel was born on June 28, 1915 in Caspian, Michigan daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (Tennermann) Anderson. As a young girl Muriel attended school in Iron Mountain. She married Frank Pirlot in 1936 and they were married for 10yrs before he preceded her in death. In 1950 she married Adolph Isaacson and they resided in Felch. He preceded her in death in 1975. In 1980 Muriel moved back to Kingsford. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Metropolitan, and sang in the choir for over 23 years. She was a member of the Marine Auxiliary and served as their president, Muriel was a seamstress, enjoyed oil painting, and cooked at the Felch Senior Center between 1975 and 1980. She entertained many people when she performed with both the Amidon follies and the Varieties.
Muriel is survived by, one son David Isaacson of Kingsford, MI., four daughters, Lois (Francis) Kidd of Pembine, WI., Donna (Fiancé, Alfred Opsahl) Steinfeldt of Green Bay, WI., Laurie (Jerry) Courteau of Phoenix, AZ., and Janice (Ayman) Isaacson Yousef of Chicago, IL., One brother William Humphrey of Kingsford, MI., Seven grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husbands Frank and Adolph Muriel is preceded by, one brother, Frank Anderson, two sisters, June Anderson and Waive Lois Inglese, one grandson John Varney, two sister in laws, Jean Anderson and Peggy Humphrey
Visitation will be Monday July 18, from 6-8pm at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, and Tuesday July 19, from 10-11am at Zion Lutheran Church in Metropolitan. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11am at Zion Lutheran Church . Pastor Bill Jacobson will officiate. Burial will be in Felch Cemetery in Felch, Michigan.
