Terrance L. "Rowdy" Richer
Terrance “Rowdy” L. Richer, 65, of Randville, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the Oscar G. Johnson Veteran’s Hospital, Iron Mountain.
He was born January 1, 1950, in Iron Mountain, son of James and June (Hunter) Richer.
Rowdy was a lifelong resident of the area. He served in the Unites States Army from 1968, until being honorably discharged in 1970. Rowdy was self-employed as a truck driver for many years.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, traveling, and hunting; he especially cherished the time he spent with his special friend Sue Piatti and his grandchildren. Rowdy was a life member of the VVA, DAV and VFW; he was also a member of the American Legion, AARP and the NRA.
Rowdy is survived by his father, James Richer, Sparta, Wis.; special friend, Sue Piatti, Felch, Mich.; two sons, Jesse (Kelly) Richer, Kingsford, Mich. and Curt Richer, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Melissa Richer, Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Doug (Cheri) Richer, Iron Mountain; one sister, Connie (Aaron) Harper, Iron Mountain; three grandchildren, Grace, Holly and Wyatt, his uncle, Neil (Deb) Richer, Iron Mountain; his aunt, Nanette, Racine, Wis.; many nieces and nephews and special friends from Alaska, Forrest and Cynthia Reed.
He was preceded in death by his mother June Richer.
In accordance with Rowdy’s wishes, private family services will be held.
The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Rowdy’s Legacy of Life.
