Obituary for Rosie P. Michaud (Jackson)

Rosie P.  Michaud (Jackson)
Spread Eagle, Wis. - Rosie P. Michaud, 86, of Spread Eagle, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Freeman’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kingsford.

She was born March 8, 1929, in Madison, Kentucky, daughter of the late Arthur and Stella (Curse) Jackson.

Rosie grew up in and attended school in Kentucky. She married Gerald Michaud on March 4, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio. They resided in Dayton for one year before moving to Iron Mountain in 1951. Rosie worked at the Blind Duck Inn, Modern Laundry and Maraccini and Sons in Iron Mountain.

She loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, especially the trip she took to Hawaii with her sister to visit her niece.

Rosie is survived by two sons, Gary Michaud, Terry Michaud, both of Spread Eagle; three daughters, Norma (Gary) Apolskis, Florence, Joan Mier, Grace (David) Michaud Hiltunen, both of Spread Eagle; nine grandchildren, Albert (Martin Senn) Juneau, Michael Juneau, Robert Mier, Matthew (Emma) Mier, Evan Hiltunen, Stephanie Hiltunen, Lisa Michaud, Jan Weber, Jenny Weber; many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gerald, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Niles Hiltunen and Christopher Juneau and many brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
