Joan M. Jordon (Cavalieri)
IRON MOUNTAIN- Joan M. Jordon, 83, of Iron Mountain, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Manorcare Health Services, Kingsford.
She was born February 8, 1933, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Backlund) Cavalieri.
Joan grew up in Iron Mountain. She married Edgar Jordon in 1951, in Iron Mountain; he preceded her in death in 1994. They resided in many places before moving back to Iron Mountain in 2000.
She enjoyed music and in her younger years Joan was a member of the Amidon Follies; she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Joan is survived by one son, Gary (Gail) Jordon, Atlantic Mine, Mich.; one daughter, Jodi (Ralph) Moorehead, Devine, Tex.; one brother, Joseph (Elaine) Cavalieri, Trigo, Wis.; one sister, Geraldine Piper, Iron Mountain; one sister-in-law, Judy Cavalieri, Kingsford; two grandchildren, Mellissa (Joel) Wood, Devine and Jason (Cynthia) Collins, San Antonio, Tex.; five great-grandchildren, Tristen, Ethan, Cassidee, Caden and Harper and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Jordon and one brother, James Cavalieri.
In accordance with Joan’s wishes, private family services were held. Graveside Services will be announced in the spring. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
