Obituary for
Petey Curtis
Crystal Falls- Petey E. “Frances” Curtis, 63, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, with her niece Darci Janssen and lifelong friend Dolly Cimerelli by her side.
She was born on March 16, 1953 in Iron River, Mich., daughter of the late Bruno and Elaine Contardi. She married Edward Curtis on April 20, 1974 in Iron River. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2007.
Petey worked for 23 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant, most recently at Aspirus in Iron River.
She enjoyed golfing, reading, riding the Harley and going out west with Ed. Petey also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and throwing a great party.
Petey is survived by her daughter Laila Vander Wall, Crystal Falls; Two sisters Candace Contardi, Billings, Mt. and Sheri (Kevin) Dockery, Garland, Tx.; a special niece Darci (Bryan) Janssen, Green Bay, Wis.; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband Ed, Petey was preceded in death by one daughter Apryll, two brothers Derrold and Richard Contardi.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Funeral Services will be held Saturday,11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Jose Maramattam will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
