Marilyn L. Balzarini (Pozza)
Iron Mountain – Marilyn L. Balzarini, 85 of Iron Mountain, Mich. passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Freeman’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Kingsford, Mich.
She was born on April 6, 1931 in Iron Mountain daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Warner) Pozza. Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of Iron Mountain High School. She went on to attend the nursing program in Marquette, Mich. where she received her nursing certificate. Marilyn married Frank Balzarini in Iron Mountain and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was employed at the Freemans Convalescent Home for many years, and later as a home health nurse.
Marilyn enjoyed animals, playing cards, doing word search and especially the time that she spent with her granddaughter Harley.
She is survived by one son Jon Balzarini, Iron Mountain; one daughter Dena (Steve) Martin, Randville, Mich.; one brother Jerry Pozza, Iron Mountain; one granddaughter Harley Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Frank, Marilyn was preceded in death by two brothers John “Jack” and Henry “Chi-chi” Pozza.
In accordance with Marilyn’s wishes private family services were held.
