Condolences

Condolence From: David Tedeschi
Condolence: My memories of Lee Douglas Spencer are short lived. I only knew Doug for 8 months. In that time, it was easy to identify that he was a kind, gentle soul! His love for family and friends was undeniable. He welcomed me into his family with open arms. I was fortunate enough to assist him in his outdoor chores even though you could tell he was a man of self reliance. But his aging years gave way to humility and we were able to bond as only Doug could. His quick one liners and great humor were obvious. His caring way for his children shined throughout his entire being. Even while battling his own illness, he had great concern for the health and well being of others. His daughter Pamela has his same heart and love for her children. It's a very special quality that our heavenly Father blessed people with for the benefit of all man kind. After completing a task for Doug one day, he offered to square up with me. My response was "I only ask for your blessings to marry your daughter Pamela". I believe it was the only time I've seen Doug speechless!!! He was the kind of man that you prayed for his respect! I knew that day I had earned it. He touched the lives of many and loved all his family unconditionally! The lines between love compassion and greed can get blurred in times of crisis and sorrow. Family can over think and over react to things because they are overwhelmed with grief and sorrow! Whatever acts that have taken place within your family, we know you would have the compassion and love in you to forgive them as our Savior would!!! Doug had faith in humanity to know in the end, people would get things right. Your loving wife Dorothy of 62 years has shown great strength throughout this sad time. It's obvious to me, she has been the pillar within your family that makes a household and a home function for all. She carries a heavy heart at this time, but I would like to let her know, this is a "Birth that we call death". Your earthly shell has gone to rest, but you have crossed the veil into paradise. How joyous for you to have been greeted by family and friends that have preceded you in your journey. May she take comfort in knowing that families are forever and you shall be together once again! Thank you Doug for the example you set, it was a pleasure spending time with you and Dorothy, I will do my best to take care Pamela and Dorothy. God bless and rest in peace!!!!

Condolence From: Gene Cudnohufsky
Condolence: Dear Dorothy & family, I was extremely saddened to learn of Doug's passing. A flood of memories from the 1950's and the great times we had back then kept emerging as though they happened only yesterday. Doug was indeed a wonderful friend, and although I've not seen him in many years, still he will be missed. Praying you and your loved ones will find peace and comfort in sharing your lives with such a great guy! Gentle hugs and God's Blessing from Gene Cudnohufsky
