Obituary for Thomas W. Cummings

Thomas W. Cummings, 65, of Florence, Wis., passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Florence.

He was born January 16, 1952 in Connesville, Penn., son of the late Edward and Leora (Ladd) Cummings. Tom grew up on the east coast and lower Michigan before moving to Alpha, Mich., where he resided until 2011 at which time he moved to Florence, Wis. He was employed for many years working for the railroad.

Tom loved the time he spent at the Tavern on Central and Dina Mia’s in Florence, and all the friends that he met over the years. He enjoyed his model railroading and was a collector and enthusiast of war memorabilia.

Tom is survived by one sister-in-law, Miche Cummings; two nephews, Galen and Joey Cummings; and other nieces and nephews, all of Florida; very good friends, Sue and Chuck Hoogland, Florence; his cat, Zoey; and he will be missed by numerous friends in the Florence area.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one brother, William Cummings.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Concord, New Hampshire.
