James P. "Jim" Weber
James P. “Jim” Weber, 71, of Fence, Wis., passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center, Green Bay, Wis.
He was born January 16, 1946, in Kingsford, Mich., son of the late Raymond and Patricia (Hayes) Weber. Jim was a graduate of Kingsford High School, Class of 1964. He was united in marriage to Juanita Koller on October 6, 1962, in Iron Mountain, Mich. Jim worked at Grede Foundry for 33 years, retiring as Safety Director. After retirement, Jim fulfilled his dream of living at the lake with his wife, Juanita.
He was a member of the Northland Beagle Club and the UP Whitetails. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, traveling, casinos and taking pictures. He wintered in Laughlin, Nevada and repaired guns along with attending gun shows where he would buy, sell and trade. Jim also enjoyed spending time at his grandchildren’s sporting events and time with family during the holidays. He had the gift of gab and truly enjoyed visiting and talking with people.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Juanita; two sons, Jim (Anna) Weber, Quinnesec, Mich. and Jeff (Julie) Weber, Niagara, Wis.; four grandchildren, Mark, Melissa, Sydney and Josh Weber; great-granddaughter, Aubree Weber; one sister-in-law, Muriel Weber; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, William Weber and John “Jack” Weber.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate.
