Obituary for
Debra M. McCoy (Nichols)
Florence-Debra M. McCoy, 62, of Florence, Wis., passed away Friday, October 06, 2017, at her home.
She was born March 31, 1955, in Iron Mountain, Mich., daughter of the late Laurence and Beatrice (Euers) Nichols. Debra married Dan McCoy on July 26, 1974, in Crystal Falls, Mich. They resided in Florence and Fern, Wis. all of their married life. Dan preceded her in death on April 25, 2017.
Debra did housekeeping and painting throughout the Florence and Dickinson County areas. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, canoeing, and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Edward (Jessica) McCoy, Florence, Wis.; one daughter, Penny (Jerome) Florek, Fern, Wis.; two step daughters Tammy (Mark) LaDuron, Milwaukee, Wisc. and Dannilynn (Craig) McCoy; three brothers, James (Cindy) Nichols, Mike (Tammy) Nichols and Kenneth (Carole) Nichols, all of Fence, Wis.; six sisters, Joanne (Patrick) Wloszczynski, Florence, Wis., Rosemary (Dan) Malone, Iron Mountain, Mich., Beatrice (Lou) Kozlowski, Armstrong Creek, Wis., Ethel (Elton) Borns, Fence, Wis., Doris Ann Huotari, Homestead, Wis. and Alice (Stan) Maruszczak, Armstrong Creek, Wis.; and twelve grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Lacey, Lexie, Logan, Crystale, Kaylen, Joseph, Kyle, Brad, Shane and Christopher.
In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda McCoy 1992; and one brother, Larry Nichols.
A celebration of Debra’s life will be held Friday, October 13, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Florence Community Center, Florence.
