Obituary for Lillian R. Rodgers (LeDocq)

Iron Mountain-Lillian R. Rodgers, 94, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

She was born October 9, 1923, in Oconto Falls, Wis., daughter of the late Charles and Freida (LeGreve) LeDocq. Lillian grew up in Kingsford and graduated from Kingsford High School, Class of 1940. After graduation she moved to Milwaukee, Wis. where she worked for several years. Lillian married Harvey Rodgers and he preceded her in death in 1987. While being married they resided for a few years in Niagara, Wis. and in 1953 moved to Kingsford. They wintered in Englewood, Florida for many years.

Lillian enjoyed picking mushrooms, golfing, fishing in Canada, crocheting, doing circle word puzzles, and especially the time spent with her family.

Lillian is survived by one sister, Marjorie Gunville, Niagara, Wis.; one brother, Wilford LeDocq, Joliet, Ill.; one special niece, Judy (Ernest Jr.) Lantagne, Niagara, Wis.; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Harvey, Lillian was preceded in death by one son, Allen Rodgers; two brothers, Gilford and Charles Jr. LeDocq; and by three sisters, Annabel Trulock, Arlene Harper and Lucille Emond.

In accordance with Lillian’s wishes private graveside services will be held. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis.
