As I watched the video tribute I am reminded of the carpenter that Jesus followed in his early years. 

Jesus showed us that light always follows darkness. Don't curse the darkness and light a candle.

As I looked at the memories of Jim and family I see the love of family and friendships over the years. On prayer cards at most funerals we see the 23rd Psalm.  Even though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear no evel, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

I am also reminded that in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.

I will not be with you at the funeral.  May you and your family accept my sympathies and may your memories be your gift. His smile and hugs, warmth of heart, stories and music be with you always.
