Obituary for June Louise Headson (Recla)

June Louise Headson (Recla)
June L. (Recla) Headson was reunited with her mother, Louise Recla, on January 12, 2015. She was born June 14, 1926, in Niagara, Wis. daughter of the late Louise Recla. June married Frank Headson on July 1, 1950; they were married for 28 years and had six children.

She was a proud member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lakeland, Fla. June enjoyed golfing, lunches with her friends, volunteering at VISTE, and telling jokes at the nursing home. She lived for baseball season and had the MLB package in her little cottage. June especially loved watching her great-grandson Christian play baseball and football. She was a proud employee of Walgreen's for a number of years, retiring in her early 80s. June was a member of ABWA and spoke of all the wonderful women she met while an active member of the organization. She was very active in many things throughout her 88 years of life, but being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was her favorite. She cherished the time she spent with family no matter the distance.

Our family doesn’t have words to express what a truly wonderful and special woman she was. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. In her 88 years of life, she touched so many people and she was always amazed at how treasured she was by so many.

June is survived by her five children, Ralph of Appleton, Wis.; Peggy (Dennis) of Appleton, Susan of Summerville, SC, Keri (Marvin) of Lakeland, Fla. and David of Lakeland; nine grandchildren, Brian, Jeremiah (Erin), Heather (Nate), Amy, Regina, Melanie, Sarah (Anthony), Corey (Lisa), and Emily; she is further survived by eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Alvin (Gerry) of Sun City, Ariz. and a sister-in-law Jackie Stapelfeldt of Menominee Falls, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Patrick in 1957.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Larry Canavera will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery, Norway.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel to honor June’s Legacy of Life.
