Christine Trinrud
My heart is heavy for you all. I am a friend of the Maxwell family and have been heavily involved in WI Suicide Support Services and Prevention initiatives for almost 6 years.
My dad took his own life almost 7 years ago. The pain and confusion left to survivors is something that one can not fathom unless they have experienced it personally, in my opinion. I am heartbroken for your loss. For me, there's something about going through this that creates an unfortunate bond with all others that do.
I am available day or night to listen, to talk, or to help you find local support services if you feel you may need them going forward. You are not alone. There may be times you feel you are alone regardless of the truth in that statement. That is all normal.
You may feel and think things that make you feel like you are crazy. You are not. Suicide is and it throws you into a place you never knew existed. I'm sorry that this is now a part of your life.
The road is painful and long. I wish I could tell you different but I think you already know.... Please, pull together and support and love one another regardless of how each of you grieves. It's all normal and okay even if it's different for each of you. There's no wrong feeling or way to try and find your way through this.
Please know that I, although a stranger, am praying for you all and am available at any time if you feel you need something. Please don't feel obligated in any way to take me up on this or respond. I understand completely and respect whatever you need as you endure this. I have walked a similar mile and have walked it with many, many others. Every situation and person is different. I just wanted you to know that you don't have to go through this alone and that there is help available even when it seems there's nothing that could possibly help this.
May God hold you and comfort you. My prayers are with you all.
From one survivor to another......
Love and Light,
Christine Trinrud
