Evelyn L. Romagnoli (Kelly)
Evelyn “Dolly” L. Romagnoli, 94, of Iron Mountain, passed away Friday, December 04, 2015, at Freeman Nursing Home, Kingsford.
She was born July 27, 1921, in Chicago, Ill. daughter of the late Raymond and Loretta (Nelson) Kelly.
Evelyn grew up in Dunbar, Wis. She married Donald Romagnoli in September, 1942; he preceded her in death in 1993. Evelyn lived between Iron Mountain and Dunbar while Donald was in the service. Upon his honorable discharge from the service, they resided in Bay City, Mich. and later Detroit before moving to Iron Mountain in 1953. She worked for Perfects Manufacturing Company in Kingsford and the Red Owl before retiring.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. Evelyn enjoyed music, the dances at the senior centers and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by one son, Dennis Romagnoli, Appleton, Wis.; one daughter, Donna (Ray) Schinderle, Iron Mountain; one brother, David Kelly, Green Bay; three sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Joslin, Green Bay, Madeline Turner, Green Bay and Jean “ Sugar” Bates, White Lake, Wis.; three grandchildren, Daeaun (Steven) Messer, Kelly (Jeff) Melcher and Angela Romagnoli and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Beau and Paige.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray “Brother” Kelly and two sisters, Eunice “Sis” Zimmerman and Pauline Criel.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
