Iron Mountain-Todd A. Tousignant, 55, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 unexpectedly at his home.

He was born December 18, 1960 in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of Donald and Maddy (Carollo) Tousignant. Todd graduated from Kingsford High School, Class of 1979. He went on to attend Lansing Community College, Lansing Mich. Todd then moved to Colorado where he worked as a carpenter. He moved back to Iron Mountain and worked with his father at Tousignant Drywall, where he became owner and retired from in 2009.

He enjoyed concerts and live music and was an avid drummer, playing for the Wind River Band in his earlier years. Todd traveled with the local drum and bugle core and was awarded the youngest recipient of the Most Promising Music Award. He passed his musical talent onto his two sons. Todd had a general love for all genres of music. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

He is survived by his mother, Maddy Tousignant of Iron Mountain; two sons, Zackery Tousignant, Marquette, Mich. and Jake Tousignant, Minneapolis, Minn.; Donna (Elliott) Tousignant of Iron Mountain; one brother, Ken Tousignant, Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Cindy Tousignant, Holland, Mich.

Todd is preceded in death by his father, Donald Tousignant.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2 P.M. – 4 P.M. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be held Friday, 4 P.M. at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
