Catherine M. LaLonde (Sericati)
Iron Mountain-Catherine M. LaLonde, 99, lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Sunday,
January 14, 2018, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
She was born July 2, 1918, last surviving sibling of Frank and Angeline (Sartari) Sericati.
God and family were of upmost importance to Catherine and she was blessed with numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren that brought her much joy and happiness. She cherished each and every visit and times spent together. Sunday was church time. Catherine was a devoted Roman Catholic of St. Mary and St. Joseph Church. She attended church service regularly either in person or thru worship service on tv. Catherine lived her life, giving more to others then she cared to receive for herself.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Ronald (Karen) LaLonde, Quinnesec, Mich. and James (Patricia) LaLonde, Chester, Va.; and by a daughter, Kay Peterson, Kingsford, Mich.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald, Ceaser, Victor and Leo Sericati; and by four sisters, Doris Wudtke, Inez Macjki, Ann Lewinski and Mary Mendini.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Rev. Fr. Janusz Romanek will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain, alongside her parents.
